The wrong installation of the glass rotor flowmeter can be a big problem

At present, the glass rotor flowmeter is one of the most widely used flowmeters in the industry. It has many advantages such as simple installation, convenient use, intuitive reading, low price, and many applications. Simple flowmeters must be installed and used correctly, otherwise the measurement accuracy will be affected. If they are installed incorrectly, the problem can be serious.
1. In winter, keep warm. If it is not used at night, the residual liquid in the flowmeter must be drained to avoid freezing the glass tube.
2. Because the glass tube is easily damaged, when you get the glass rotameter, first observe whether the glass tube is in good condition.
3. Take off the clamp and turn your head slightly to see if the rotor can slide up and down freely. If you cannot slide freely, you need to gently shake the support plate so that it can generally slide. If it cannot slide, you need to ask professional technicians to disassemble the machine.
4. When installing on the pipeline, keep the upstream and downstream pipelines of the instrument consistent. Failure to meet the requirements will not only affect the measurement accuracy of the instrument, but also damage the instrument.
5. The first two points can be used after ensuring that they are correct. The operator should read the instructions carefully before use. When opening the valve, it must be opened slowly. If the estimated flow can float the rotor, but the rotor does not move upwards, stop immediately and continue to open the valve. At the same time, tap the pipe lightly to make the rotor rise slowly. Many operators opened the valve too hard and just installed new equipment. Open the valve suddenly, causing damage to the glass tube in the glass rotameter.
6. For safe use, some operators like to remove the front cover, which is not allowed, because the glass tube is easy to burst, the cover is removed for use, and the cover plays a protective role. Therefore, the cover cannot be removed.
