Glass rotameter is a very common flow measuring instrument in industrial automation process control. The metal tube rotor flowmeter has great advantages in high pressure, high temperature and corrosive gas or liquid. It works stably and has high reliability, so it has been widely used in industry. As a high-precision measuring instrument, improper use will seriously affect the measurement results. Therefore, mastering the correct operation method is nothing more than the main method to make the measurement results more accurate. So how does it work?


1. When measuring the flow of gaseous media, attention must be paid to the safety of the discharge at the outlet. If the high-speed airflow does not decelerate, it will have a huge impact on the outside world.

2. Before installing the glass rotor flowmeter, please check whether the pipeline is vibrating. If the pipeline vibrates, it will affect the movement of the float, resulting in inaccurate measurement results.

3. Determine the impurities in the medium. Impurities will affect the accuracy of the flowmeter. At this time, a strong magnetic filter must be installed to remove metal ions. If there are solid particulate impurities in the pipeline, these impurities will affect the float during the flow process, change its motion curve and affect the physical properties of the medium, thereby making the measurement inaccurate.

4. After checking whether there is no vibration in the pipeline, install the glass rotor flowmeter vertically on the pipeline. If it is tilted, the float height of the float cannot be displayed correctly. Therefore, the area of the space above the float cannot be calculated, and the measurement result cannot be obtained.
